The Certificate in Quantitative Finance (CQF) is an online part-time financial engineering program. It can be completed as a single six month program or split into two three-month levels. It is designed for in-depth training for individuals working in, or intending to move into, e.g. derivatives, IT, quantitative trading, insurance, model validation or risk management. The CQF is unique in its approach and commitment to the field of real-world quantitative finance.
At all times the program’s focus is on practical implementation of techniques and on the questioning and analysis of models and methods.
- Next Starting Date
- 24th January 2016
The CQF is designed for delegates in full-time work and does not require any time away from the workplace. By dividing the program content over six months or into two levels, delegates build up their knowledge session by session.
All training is delivered live via international webcast and each lecture is recorded and made available on the CQF Portal within 24 hours to watch when convenient.
The CQF program begins with the Math, Python and Finance Primer, 3 optional short courses of intensive training, covering all the preliminaries needed before commencing the quantitative finance lectures.
The examined part of the CQF program comprises six modules, which will need to be completed to obtain the CQF designation. The program starts in January and June each year. Each module covers a different aspect of quantitative finance and consists of lectures and discussions. At the end of modules 1 to 5, delegates take a written exam and have to score 60% or above to gain certification in that module. For module 6 delegates have to complete a practical project and apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world problems.
Dedicated to delivering flexible learning, the CQF offers two study options so you can decide how to complete the program.
Full Program: complete the six modules in six months
Level I & II: complete the six modules in two three-month levels.
Full program and Level II delegates also have access to the Lifelong Learning library, which contains over 600 hours of lectures on every conceivable finance topic, supporting continued learning throughout your career, all included in the fees. Delivered by some of the most eminent practitioners and academics, the content is ever expanding with additional lectures continually taking place.
The CQF's lecturing team is the envy of nearly every financial engineering program in the world. An elite collection of world-renowned practitioners and highly regarded academics ensure that the program delivers practical and relevant content.
