Senior VP, Risk Management - Wells Fargo
As a working professional, it wasn’t possible for me to join a full-time course to supplement my quantitative and risk background. I was interested in finding a program with classroom-like features, exploring realistic problems and issues. The majority of courses available either had to be attended in person, the remote process did not look interactive or the certification required just taking a final set of exams to complete the course.
This is where CQF clearly stood out. It provided a great combination of the distance learning environment and regular problem assignments, including exercise and project work on real applications. It covered a range of areas with advanced topics on pricing, credit, interest rate modeling and portfolio optimization, with exposure to the latest advances in the field. I was impressed with the CQF faculty who had prior industry experience and provided a mixture of both practical and academic insights. Lifelong learning is another useful feature of the CQF, where I have found regularly updated lectures and tutorials even after completing the course.
The CQF program also helped connect me directly with the faculty and other quantitative professionals to add to my knowledge and network. I would definitely recommend the CQF program to any serious Quantitative Risk and Investment professional.
